It’s a sort of “homecoming” for residents who were temporarily moved out of their apartment home last fall for the very first phase of our residential living apartment revitalization project. We’ve completed the first 11 apartments, and we are moving folks back into their homes this week. Last week each resident had a sneak peek at their “new” place, and we are happy to report the updates received glowing reviews from each of them!
Here are just a few pictures from the sneak peek:
Next, we will start on the remaining 17 apartment homes of the community’s same southeast corridor. Apartments on all three floors will be revitalized. Those residents will temporarily move to thoroughly cleaned and disinfected interim apartment homes from January 25th through the 27th. Construction will begin on the vacated apartments on January 26th. This construction process should last about 16 weeks, so we hope to have another sort of homecoming in mid-May.
The $10 million revitalization project is part of Christian Living Communities, the parent organization of Someren Glen’s commitment to regularly invest in each of the communities it owns and operates. This work is funded in part by proceeds from a bond refinancing.
We will share more about the revitalization project, plans for the future, how we are progressing in our COVID-19 vaccination efforts, and much more at A Look Ahead: 2021 Someren Glen Town Hall Webinar Wednesday, January 27th, from 2:00-3:00 pm. Everyone is invited. Click here to register.
It’s a great time to be part of the Someren Glen family, we have so many positive things happening, and we look forward to sharing more with you very soon!
